To save on costs, we decided to take a roadtrip down there (it wasn't economical to fly eight + 2 dogs). But I think the next time we do a roadtrip, let's skip anything longer than 10 hrs, shall we? =)
Ok, cue the photos! ^_^
Day 1
We headed out on Thursday evening and drove through the night and into the morning. As we neared San Francisco, the scenery around us looked almost surreal:
The hills looked like a flat painting
Nevertheless, we had some breakfast/lunch and set out to the pier to enjoy some much needed sunshine.
At Pier 39
Alcatraz and the girls
My dinner consisted of crab claw and... the rest of the crab =)
A pano of Pier 39
Inside Ghirardelli. That guy is making my ice-cream! ^_^
This is how you lepak (hang out) while enjoying Ghirardelli ice-cream hehe

Day 2
The weather wasn't that nice to us that day, but we headed out to Napa Valley anyway. The traffic to cross the Golden Gate Bridge was HORRIBLE, and although we didn't accomplish everything in our agenda, we were at least lucky to catch some sunshine towards the end of the day.
Some clubbing was done later that night, photos of which are on my phone, and I'm too lazy to download them so there.
Day 3
This time, the skies were blue. So we decided to hit Napa Valley again before heading off to Monterey for the rest of the day.
At the entrance into Domaine Carneros
Enjoying the view and sunshine
That was the view I was enjoying. Nice, leh?
The shores of Monterey
Panoramic view of the area
Ian's creative juices kicked in
The Lonely Cypress along the 17-Mile Drive. The place was PACKED with tourists and we were lucky to get a parking spot after a 30-min jam

We drove back the next day. And man was that a LONG drive. The weather wasn't very nice either to say the least.
BUT!! I definitely enjoyed this short getaway with the gang. Lots of random nonsense resulted in non-stop laughter throughout the trip.
Oh, and I tried out my Super 8 video recording app on my phone for the trip. A little blurry, but it has that nostalgic touch to it.
...I really need to invest in better video recording/editing hardware & software DX
Now, what shall we plan to do for Fourth of July? =D
